Dr. Alaina Ziesemer (Dr. Z) graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2007. While working as a veterinary assistant, she obtained her Bachelors in Science from Benedictine University in 2003. She has been working at Crest Hill Animal Hospital since October 2007. Her 4-legged fur babies are Dipstick a geriatric Domestic Long Hair (DLH), Klyde a geriatric Great Dane, Sheldon a young adult DLH, & Harvey a young adult Domestic Medium Hair (DMH).
In her free time, she enjoys going to Chicago Cubs games. She is also a food & wine connoisseur at heart. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA), & American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). She is a Cat Friendly Veterinarian through the AAFP. Her veterinary medicine interests include feline medicine, internal medicine, oncology, and rehabilitation.
