Dr. Alaina Ziesmer

Dr. Alaina Ziesemer (Dr. Z) graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2007.  She decided she wanted to be a veterinarian in fourth grade.  While working as a veterinary assistant, she obtained her Bachelors in Science from Benedictine University in 2003.  She has been working at Crest Hill Animal Hospital since October 2007.  Her 4-legged fur babies are Mitzy a 13 year old Domestic Medium Hair (DMH), Tabatha a 12 year old DMH, and Dipstick a 6 year old Domestic Long Hair (DLH).  In her free time she enjoys going to as many Chicago Cubs games as she can and bowling.  She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA), and American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP).  Her veterinary medicine interests include feline medicine, internal medicine, oncology, and rehabilitation.

Dr. Brandy Saubert

Dr. Brandy Saubert received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Purdue University. She elected to stay at Purdue University to further her education and in 2008 she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Indianapolis, she moved to Chicago and joined the team at Crest Hill Animal Hospital briefly after graduation. In the fall of 2008 she married her college boyfriend at Purdue University football stadium. Dr. Saubert enjoys preventative medicine but also has special interests in surgery and cardiology. In her spare time Dr. Saubert enjoys reading, movies, yard work and spending time with friends and family. Her and her husband are always keeping up with their pets which includes, two cats Anastasia and Spud and two dogs Sulley and Sebastian.


Dr. Katie Aksamit

Dr. Katie Aksamit graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary medicine in 2003. She has been practicing at Crest Hill Animal Hospital since 2006. She shares her home with a border collie and terrier mixed breed dog named Millie. She enjoys swimming and running with her dog.
